“During Sleep” Pharmacy
The project "During Sleep" was initiated by the observation that "New York is a city that never sleeps." In my research, I found that approximately 61% of New Yorkers struggle with sleep issues. This inspired me to design a pharmacy dedicated to addressing these concerns. The pharmacy features two distinct entrances, allowing customers to choose their path based on their needs. Those seeking to purchase medical products can use the entrance on 96th Street, while those interested in enjoying a beverage or exploring the sleeping spaces can opt for the alternative entry. "During Sleep Pharmacy" boasts four unique sleeping rooms, offering individuals the opportunity to discover their preferred sleep environment through firsthand experience. In designing these areas, I am not only focusing on materials and aesthetics but also prioritizing the integration of sound and scent, recognizing their significant impact on the sleeping experience.
